I am incredibly excited to announce that Common By Nature has made it through to the final round of the UK Blog Awards 2019! Thanks to both the public vote, and that of the judges, I now find myself in the running in not one, but two categories: Green and Eco and the new and arguably much more exciting, Nature and Wildlife category. Hurray!

Thanks so much to everyone who cast a vote for this blog during the public vote, and to everyone who, through no end of comments, shares and guest submissions, has helped mould and shape it over the years. It is great to know that people still enjoy reading what I write, even after five years of my waffling away incessantly on nature and environmental issues.

The other seven competitors in the running for the Nature and Wildlife title are a pretty awesome bunch, and I am delighted to even find myself on the same shortlist as Thinking Country and Wildlife Kate – two of the best environmental blogs out there. It is fantastic too to see Alex White of Appleton Wildlife Diary represented here; while the other blogs featured are all interesting and unique.

Judging for the UK Blog Awards is set to conclude on February 1 2019, with the winners announced at the ‘official’ ceremony on April 12.
